Criminal law aims at establishing punishment for criminal offenses. Criminal lawyers plead on behalf of their clients in cases ranging from drug possession, traffic offenses such as drunk driving, assault, domestic abuse, murder or manslaughter, drug importation or supply, sexual assault, fraud, and so on. Criminal lawyers fight on client’s behalf to prove the charges false and get the case either dropped or the punishment downgraded.
