Passion. Experience. Diligence.

ASKY International Lawyers is a global law firm situated in Docklands, Melbourne, Australia as well as in Hyderabad, India.

It is a one-stop shop, offering a wide array of legal services, including Family, Criminal, Civil, Property, Commercial, and Immigration Law, Personal Injury claims, Traffic Offences, Wills, and Probate to Australian clients. ASKY also respects its multi-national roots by providing Legal Services in India.

The diversity of the firm and the cases in which it works around the globe provides it with a unique skill set, as ASKY lawyers have gained experience working with many people, with very different circumstances.

The compassionate and hardworking team strives to help their clients in every way, aiming to facilitate the use of the legal justice system, and ensure the most beneficial outcome for all parties involved.

ASKY believes that justice should be available to all people regardless of their identities or financial status. All are equal before the eyes of the law, so all should equally get a chance to present themselves before the law. ASKY understands the plight faced by ordinary people while finding and choosing a lawyer. An ordinary person doesn’t know what the law is and what lawyer specializes in defending their cases. Moreover, beyond specialization, it is the personality and commitment of a lawyer to their client which matters to people.

ASKY lawyers commit to building a long-term, sustainable relationship with their clients. ASKY understands the ordinary person and their legal struggles. They strive to work for their clients, but also to help their clients understand their work. Unlike other lawyers who shower legal jargon on their clients, ASKY lawyers simplify the law for their clients to understand. They understand that clients often feel overwhelmed by the law and helplessly allow their lawyers to make all their decisions for them. ASKY does not believe in this approach. ASKY lawyers guide their clients to navigate the law, inform their clients of all available choices, and put the client forward in all decision making. It is the clients’ life, the choices should theirs too. As noted above, special consideration is paid to proper and simplified communication. Sumitra’s own experience of navigating two different cultures and legal landscapes has made her appreciative of the value of simplification in communication. She thus stresses this practise on her lawyers at ASKY.

Another client focused measure that ASKY takes is the availability of weekend appointments. Finding a lawyer, building a case and following up on it is hard enough. People should not have to put their current jobs and lives at risk by spending all their work days at a lawyer’s office. Maybe some people can afford to do that, but ASKY believes in the inclusion of all. So for those who do not have time during working business days, weekend appointments are available. Clients can rest assured that their lives and its stability is the top priority of ASKY. They simply have to ask and a solution will be provided to accommodate their circumstances as much as possible.

This flexibility is also available in the cost  of services at ASKY international lawyers. ASKY brings affordable and reliable legal practise to the citizens of Australia.

Each case is unique and so is the price quote attached to it. ASKY negotiates the price with the clients early in the process. Clients can pay the full sum upfront or in installments over time. They can also choose to set a price for billable hours, or a fixed sum for the overall process. Clients are also guided about the miscellaneous charges which are expected in the legal process. An estimate is provided upfront with a small margin of error so that no unexpected charge would have to be paid during any point of the legal process.

Finally, it need not be a surprise that the global background of ASKY is one of its biggest strengths. Being capable of handling people of diverse identities with empathy and commitment to understanding their needs is a skill. This skill is not innate, but rather perfected through personal experiences and professional practice. With Sumitra at the helm of this multinational ship, ASKY promises to provide an experience where differences are not only respected, but duly understood.

Sumitra and ASKY’s areas of expertise include:  Property Law, Family Law, Wills and Probate, Criminal Law, Commercial law, Immigration, Conveyancing, Corporate Law. With competent lawyers dealing with different types of cases as per their expertise, clients can rest assured that their case would be dealt with properly.

Knowing where you stand and making a choice based on correct facts is the key to settling any conflict. Working out where you stand so you can make an informed decision is usually the most difficult step.

Whether it's a commercial law or contract issue, a company issue, family law (including divorce, custody, and wills), a property dispute, an employment law issue, migration, or defamation, we've got you covered. The vast majority of rules are based on one principle: know where you stand first, and then make a smart choice based on that knowledge.
